| | | A Tourist Destination Site and Heritage Centre: This large Multi-Museum & Heritage Railway Centre to be located in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada will also have large spaces for Cultural use, Arts, and Performing Arts. It is planned for completion in 2012. It is planned, subject to the results of our Feasibility Study, to have the following museums and exhibit areas: Museums to be relocated to the Centre: Kamloops Museum and Archives will have the opportunity to relocate to the Centre. Rocky Mountain Rangers Museum and Archives (Military) will relocate. Kamloops Fire Hall Museum will also have an opportunity to relocate.
New Museums to be created in the Centre: Pioneer Chinese Railway Workers Museum, 1880/1885 named "Heroes of Confederation Museum". Pioneer Chinese who paid the "Head Tax" in order to enter or stay in Canada to create a new life for themselves and their family. Kamloops Heritage Railway Roundhouse Museum - historical exhibits plus volunteers working on site to refurbish railway cars and engines. This will join the Centre by a Skywalk overhead of the railway track. Ranching and Cowboy Life Museum. RCMP Exhibition and Private RCMP Exhibitions. B.C. Police Museum. Kamloops Indian Band exhibition and / or "bridging" to the Museum on their Reserve Lands. Two Rivers Métis Museum and Archives.
Additional attractions and Tourist Commercial venues: - Two major Tourist attractions are planned to help ensure a high level of tourist traffic income to the Centre.
- Commercial leased office spaces to help self-finance the overall operation of the centre.
- Top Floor Dining facility with theatrical stage for very large conferences and catering events.
- Gift Shop, carrying products associated with all our museums, and gift products produced personally by local artisans.
- Family Friendly Snack Bars - spaces for child care, feeding, and space for seniors rest areas.
